The Seven Assumptions
The idea for the Farming For Freedom Project, Inc. is based on several assumptions. Here they are...
1. Other than for moral or religious reasons, people do not choose to be homeless.
2. Involuntary homelessness is a social problem, not just a personal problem.
3. Involuntary homelessness can be eliminated in the US.
4. Involuntary homelessness is the result of faulty social systems, not personal faults.
5. These faulty social systems fail to provide adequate opportunities and resouces to some people, who become involuntarily homeless as a result.
6. If provided with adequate opportunities and resources, people who are involuntarily homeless can become housed through their own efforts.
7. Access to shelter, food, and water are human rights.
